I have two HDD drives - on C:\ (whole Hitachi HDS721050CLA362 (465 Gb) without partitions) is Windows 8.1 x64 with a bit of installed programs, on D:\ (whole WDC WD1003FBYZ-010FB0 (931 Gb) without partitions) I store films, music and other necessary for me files.
To clone my C:\ partition I need to do these steps:
1) Cut approx. 200 Gb on WDC WD1003FBYZ-010FB0
I have tried to merge various partitions over the last few days prior to Win 10 install.
After trying to increase my C partition from 35GB to 40GB, it repeatedly just went straight to Win 7 on reboot. Then it suddenly did it on the fourth or fifth attempt.
When I tried to do the same with another drive (from 100GB to 120GB) it has never done it.
Hi everyone! so I made a new split volume on my SSD and the new volume I created is missing from windows disk management and from DD11???? The volume I split was my main (C:) SSD partion (my goal was to make a dual boot for windows 7 and windows 10) Hopfully this issue has popped up before and someone can shed some light on the topic.

The system imaging backup under W10 failed because of a too small System Reserved partition (error 0x81000033).
I have a 2TB disk which I am trying to recover deleted volumes from. Using the Recover tools, it doesn't find any volumes on the initial pass and recommends to continue with a full scan. The utility has been running for 5 days and has found volumes but seems to have stalled. The Next button is disabled but there have not been any new volumes found in a few days.
I have an MSI GT70 that came with windows 8.1 (not Pro) it has a GPT disk with UEFI boot mode.
I want to install Windows 7 Pro. I do not care if I lose any data, as long as I can get through the install.
I have an Acronis TI2015 image of the drive (GPT).
How do you contact support, its a nightmare. Product key not correct error message with DD12, but it is the correct code from my account and I've only had it since may, hopeless
Trying to merge two partitions on the same physical hard drive, and when I commit, it starts to proceed then errors out, saying to run chkdsk. I ran check disk, and there are no errors. I finally went to the Disk Management tool from Microsoft, and did what I needed to do.
Curious why the error message, and why they suggested run chkdsk each time, when no errors were reported on chkdsk.
My Disk Director 11 can’t convert a GPT drive to MBR. It says the partition is in use. (Booted from a boot CD with UEFI and secure boot turned off and set to legacy.)
Before I buy it can Disk Director 12 do this? Any better options?

When I try to start 64 bit version of disk director from bootable media I get the following messages:
unable to execute program press enter to continue.
unable to load ramdisk press enter to continue.
unable to load kernel press enter to continue.
it then exits back to the main menu.
Anybody have this issue or a fix.

When I try to build a Win PE bootable media it does not give me a choice of programs to install. When finished it boots into universal restore and exiting that just reboots the machine. I am trying to build a rescue disk that has all the programs I need on one disk. Havein no luck.

Eigentlich ist's egal, ob ich den Fehler hier poste oder bei TI 2015, beide Tools scheitern am Einlesen der Partitionstabellen.
Die Fehlermeldung bei DD ist wenigstens aussagekräftiger (bei TI bleibt das Fenster leer). Folgende Ereignis-Codes erhalte ich:

I have a 2to Seagate Barracuda which doesn't work any more.
The files can be seen by Disk Director, but I can't copy the partition, and Recovery Expert does not allow to select the unallocated space.
This is probably only the second time I've used DD11. Since upgrading to Windows 10, I needed to run it to re-adjust the partitions on my C: drive. I saw a black screen with error codes on it, so I took a picture of the screen with my phone. It is attached.

Do I need defragment my source disk before cloning it?
I tried cloning the disk last week...and it failed asking me to chkdsk the c:\ drive(source disk). I did that(chkdsk) twice successfully.

Lenovo's hardware scan utility gave a "read error" warning on the hard drive, so I would like to replace the drive by cloning it.

ADD12 loads nothing, blank screen. This error only started when I created a Mirror disk with ADD12. Now can't read it's own creation.
